Terms of use

Hit the Road Dude turns one person or animal photo into a 13-second, 720p vertical MP4 based on a fixed reference. Each video costs 10 credits.

Hit the Road Dude is independently operated by XU ZHENYU, an individual developer based in China. The service is newly launched.

What is available

Select one photo to preview it on your device. Submitting a generation uploads a prepared copy and reserves 10 credits. The tool asks the generator to replace the visible main character while preserving the scene and actions. Original reference audio is added to the result. We do not guarantee generation time, exact likeness, anatomy, motion or frame-by-frame fidelity. AI results can contain artifacts.

AI model and service provider

Video generation uses Seedance 2.0 Mini (model identifier: seedance-2.0-mini), accessed through APIMart’s API. APIMart is the API platform, and Seedance 2.0 Mini is the underlying AI video model. The model uses your prepared photo, our fixed reference video and generation instructions to create the requested clip.

Permission to use photos

Use photos you own or have permission to use, and obtain consent from every identifiable person depicted. Animal photos are welcome when you have the necessary image rights. Do not use deceptive impersonation or imply that a person performed an event that did not happen. The permission checkbox records your acknowledgement; it does not independently verify consent or ownership.

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

These rules apply to uploaded material, generation requests, generated results and their use or distribution. You must not create, upload, request or share any of the following through this service:

  • Sexual exploitation or abuse of children, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualized depictions of minors, grooming or content promoting these acts. We have zero tolerance for CSAM. This includes synthetic, edited and fictional depictions.
  • Pornography, explicit sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual violence, sexual exploitation or sexualized impersonation.
  • Graphic gore, dismemberment, torture, animal cruelty, credible threats, or content that promotes, instructs or incites real-world violence, terrorism or violent extremism.
  • Hate speech, dehumanization, discriminatory abuse or calls for exclusion or violence against people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • Harassment, bullying, stalking, blackmail, doxxing, disclosure of private information, deceptive impersonation or use of a person’s likeness without their permission. Do not portray generated events as real.
  • Encouragement, glorification or instructions for suicide, self-harm, eating-disorder behavior or other dangerous acts.
  • Copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity-rights infringement, including counterfeit goods or branding and unlicensed use of photos, film footage, music, logos or other protected works. Attribution alone is not permission. You must hold the rights and consents needed for your intended use and distribution.
  • Fraud, scams, illegal activities, malware, attempts to bypass safety checks, or abuse of accounts, payments or service infrastructure.

This service is intended for clearly identified, playful AI adaptations. Label generated clips when sharing them and follow the destination platform’s rules. Humor does not remove consent, copyright or safety requirements.

Safety checks and enforcement

Before image or video generation starts, our server checks the generation prompts using Waffo’s official prompt safety API, with semantic enforcement enabled. Only an explicit allow verdict with a completed semantic check permits generation. Blocked requests are stopped. Requests awaiting review, rate-limited checks and temporary outages are deferred and retried without starting generation. A review can take about an hour; our check expires after 90 minutes per prompt. If checks are rejected or cannot complete, the task fails and its reserved credits are released. Checks can make mistakes and do not verify photo content, identity, consent or copyright ownership. The generator currently uses fixed prompts rather than accepting free-text instructions.

We may reject requests, remove or restrict access to material, suspend accounts or terminate access for violations. After reviewing confirmed abuse, we may restrict generation quotas or cancel unused promotional or fraudulently obtained credits. This does not remove statutory refund rights or automatically forfeit legitimately purchased credits. Reports are reviewed manually and may lead to further action, including reporting unlawful material to the appropriate authorities where required. You can appeal through the support contact below.

Reference films and attribution

The public reference is a 12.6-second excerpt of the Hit the Road Dude exchange. Source links and context appear in our original-video guide. Reference footage is identified separately from illustrative photo concepts and customer outputs. The later “Lock em up” line is not included in this template. Displaying or processing a reference does not transfer rights to its footage, voices or audio. This site is independent and is not endorsed by the original participants, uploaders or third-party platforms.

One-time purchases and permanent credits

Credit packs are one-time purchases: Starter USD 4.90, Plus USD 9.90, Pro USD 19.90. Starter includes 20 credits, Plus 50 and Pro 120, enough for 2, 5 and 12 videos respectively. There is no recurring subscription or free generation. Purchased credits never expire. Any applicable tax and the total are shown before payment. Checkout availability is shown on the pricing page; a disabled purchase button does not place an order.

Storage and deletion

A selected photo stays on your device until submission. A temporary tab-local draft can restore your selection after Google sign-in; see our Privacy Policy for its removal rules. Uploaded and derived media expire 7 days after the original upload. Finished videos are stored privately and permanently until you delete them from My videos or delete your account. There is no automatic video expiry. Deletion revokes access and is processed in the background, with retries after storage outages. You may download a local copy at any time while the video remains in your account. The privacy policy explains processing and deletion limits.

Billing questions and refunds

A generation reserves 10 credits and consumes them only after the complete result is saved. Confirmed failure releases the reservation. An uncertain provider response stays pending while it is reconciled; do not submit a duplicate request. A completed result may contain AI artifacts and does not automatically qualify for a credit refund. For an unusable result, duplicate charge or unused-pack refund request, contact support with your order or task reference. We review the request and applicable consumer rights; this is not an unconditional refund promise. Never send card numbers or passwords. Waffo handles hosted payments, and we do not store full card details.

Reports, complaints and appeals

Report unauthorized likeness use, copyright concerns, harmful content or account issues to our support address. Include the relevant page or media reference, a description of the issue and a way to contact you. We can review reports manually and restrict access or remove material when appropriate. If you disagree with an action, reply with the reference and supporting information to request another review. For copyright reports, identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material, your relationship to the rights holder and your contact details. Do not attach illegal material or private identity documents to an initial report.

Availability

Availability depends on generation, hosting and payment services. We may temporarily suspend new requests during outages. We will describe material product or purchase changes before they apply to a new purchase. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law does not allow to be waived.
